Meet Our Founding Bishop

Hello, this is Father Jon. Though I'm a bishop, folks usually call me "Father Jon" and usually refer to me as "Bishop Jon". So, you'll see both designations on this website.

Thanks for checking out my short bio page.  Please contact me if you would like more information about me or the Missioners of The Holy Spirit.

I was baptized at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg, Idaho. After a lengthy time of being separated from the Church, I had a radical born-again experience (age 15) through the prayers and witness of my grandfather and through the ministry of the Rev. Billy Graham, that turned my life around by the grace of Jesus.

During the charismatic renewal of the late 1990s, I had a personal encounter with the love, power, and person of the Holy Spirit.

I've been in vocational Christian ministry for over 30 years.  I earned a Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary and I've served as a chaplain, church planter, keynote speaker, retreat leader, senior pastor, worship leader, and youth pastor. I've also ministered internationally in Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.

In 2021 I was consecrated as a missionary bishop by Archbishop Wayne Boosahda and Bishop Michael Owen of the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches.

I like ministering to all ages, and I especially enjoy working with youth and young adults.

I've been married to Cheryl for over 40 years and we have four faithful Christian adult children.

Please reach out to me and let me know how I can serve you.
